Cartagena on the Caribbean coast of Colombia is blessed with an incredible history as long and spectacular as its coastline! The incredible history and magnificent beauty combine to make this a perfect holiday destination or extension to your Colombia trip. The Islands of Barú and Rosario are pristine and idyllic with their endless sandy beaches, crystal clear warm waters and incredible seafood. There are activities abound here such as snorkelling, and diving or this is the perfect location to kick back and relax, taking in the stunning scenery!

Day by day schedule
Day 01 -Arrival to Cartagena
Today is arrival day to Cartagena. We will collect you from the airport and take you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 02 -Cartagena
Today, we will head out on a tour of the city, and appreciating its fabulous views from the Monasterio and Iglesia de La Popa. Constructed in 1606. this church and monastery are located above the city, offering a panoramic view not only of the city, but also the coast and port, one of the most important in the Caribbean. We will then head to the San Felipe Fortress, erected in honour of the poet, Don Luis Carlos López, from the city. It was built on San Lázaro hill to defend the city from pirate attacks back in colonial times. Walk around the fortress and learn how the castle was constructed, the engineering feats, the tunnels, underground galleries and passageways. We will then visit the Ciudad Vieja (old city) with the Convent and Church of San Pedro, which was built in the middle of the 27th century We will end the tour with a visit to the handicrafts zone of the Bovedas, a collection of archways built into the city wall of Cartagena and that were used until the end of the 1700s to house weapons and then later as a prison in the 19th century.
Day 03 -Cartagena - Rosario or Barú Island
After breakfast, we will take you in a private boat to the island of your choice ….Barú or Rosario Island.
Day 04 -Rosario or Barú Island
If you visit Baru Island we recommend the beaches of Playa Blanca, Playita de Cholón, Playa de los Muertos and Playa Bobo.
On the Rosario islands, we recommend a visit the reef of the archipelago of Nuestra Señora del Rosario as well as the islands of Tesoro, Múcura and Maravilla.
Both islands offer snorkelling and other water sports, observation of the local flora and fauna and scuba diving amongst other activities.
Day 05 -Rosario or Barú Island

Day 06 -Barú or Rosario Island - Cartagena
In the afternoon, we will return by boat to Cartagena. Upon arrival at the Cartagena pier, we will take you to the hotel for the evening.
Day 07 -Cartagena - Home
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to the airport for your flight home or onto your next exciting destination!
