What to Do in The Cuyo
Aconcagua
The highest mountain of The Andes and the highest outside of the Himalayan mountain range, reaching close to 7000 m elevation is a sight to behold. The freezing temperatures of the area will need preparation but are worth every freezing second! This is a top-level mountaineering experience that even beginners can do and you will appreciate why it is a bucket-list item for Argentina!
Mendoza
The wine capital of Argentina is responsible for 70% of Argentine wine production. The limited rainfall in this desert terrain is perfect for the vine, as the glacial water that trickles down from the Andes keeps them hydrated. Do the cycling tour of 12 vineyards, with a strategically situated hotel at the last vineyard, if you are struggling to stay upright after all the wine tasting! Plan to stay there for a while!
