The ocean is mineral-rich, providing a healthy food source for dolphins and humpback whales amongst many other sea creatures. Today we leave the Golfo Dulce for the Arenal national park and Upala the home of the Rio Celeste. Today we will head out into the Park for a visit to the volcano and Rio Celeste. Along the river, we’ll find hot springs as the river curves around tranquil bays, with a waterfall of unique beauty, all surrounded by native flora and fauna. We arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we will hike through the tropical rain forest. Our first visit in this impressive park full of rich ecological wonders will be the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall.
