The incredible Lost City Reserve is one of the most remote experiences in Colombia. Hidden deep in the Sierra Nevada jungle, the Lost City was built by the Tairona people over 1000 years ago. The only way to arrive at this city is to hike, making it perfect for adventurous nature lovers, winding through banana plantations, dangling vines and through the coffee-growing region. Once a cocaine-producing region, the discovery of the Lost City in 1970, has given the local communities a more legitimate source of income, with tourism to the area on the increase. By travelling to this remote jungle region, you are helping local indigenous people thrive, while you get totally off the beaten track!
