The Aquarium of the World
Perhaps the most extraordinary wildlife encounter on the planet is a visit to San Ignacio Lagoon to get up close to the 40-ton Grey Whales and their newborn calves. Grey whale mothers often seek human interaction as they approach our boats to present their newborn calves to us while encouraging visitors to scratch their heads and backs as they come our ships. Over the years, this behavior has become a regular occurrence only at San Ignacio Lagoon. Puerto San Carlos has become famous for being one of the favorite places for the grey whale to procreate and give birth to their young, which becomes quite a spectacle during the first three months of the year. Whale watching can be a life-changing experience as you enter the whales' natural habitat. Imagine sailing in a small boat, watching at a distance the whales exhaling or showing their tails. Then, one or two of them approach your boat and poke their heads out, allowing you to touch them.
Grey Whale
It will leave you speechless after seeing these beautiful mammals, which are between 12 and 15 meters long. The austerity of this place has a unique charm due to its small population who only lives on regular fishing and from tours destined for the sighting of these magnificent creatures. Bahía Magdalena is an area where hundreds of grey whales are concentrated, which gave rise to other observation centers more than two decades ago, such as Puerto Adolfo López Mateos and Puerto San Carlos, which are known internationally. This small fishing port is considered one of the best spots to observe the Grey Whale. About other sighting points, this is a place where you can have a more private meeting since it is less-developed and a privileged spot to see these magnificent creatures.

Magdalena Bay
Whale Watching in Magdalena Bay is awe Inspiring. The adventure includes whale watching, a visit to some incredible dunes and then a hike to a pacific beach completely untouched—an experience of a lifetime. Over a century ago, Grey Whales were hunted near extinction in these lagoons and were known as "devil fish" as they fought viciously to protect their young when attacked. However, Grey Whales are now known as friendly whales as they often approach whale-watching boats in these same lagoons. Because of its location and ecosystem, Magdalena Bay is home to many other species, including dolphins, turtles, seas, and migratory birds. The lagoon is sheltered by the sandy barrier islands of Isla Magdalena and Isla Santa Margarita from the Pacific Ocean, where coyotes can be spotted occasionally while whale watching in the bay. The mangrove swamps offer sea birds shelter and food, making them a perfect habitat.

Sea Lions
Head out on today's guided tour as you can take great photos, watching newborns and mothers play in the ocean while the males compete for their space and territory. Due to its rich flora and fauna and its importance as an eco-tourism destination, Espíritu Santo Island is a protected area and was declared part of a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1995. This beautiful island is located in the sea of Cortez, a few miles off the coast of La Paz, in the state of Baja California Sur, two hours north of Cabo. It is separated from Partida Island by a narrow canal. The island and the surrounding crystal-clear waters are home to sea lions, turtles, manta rays, dolphins, sharks, birds and even whales. The island has many different beaches where you can take walks, swim, or enjoy the gorgeous scenery that only the Sea of Cortez can offer. "Los islotes" is home "to more than" 400 sea lions; enjoy the adventure of visiting these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.
