Let’s start in the cosmopolitan capital of San Jose, which is home to a third of Costa Rica’s population! The city has fantastic museums, theatres, botanical gardens and a massive array of international cuisine bars and nightlife to dance the night away. Guanacaste is the charming historic capital of Costa Rica… not bad for an old cattle town! This white city with terracotta rooves is the gateway to the spectacular beaches of Guanacaste and a good stop off for supplies, banking and other city necessities. Heredia is a city in the north of the central valley and the coffee growing regions. This city is known as the city of flowers and is close by to many volcanoes and rainforests. Limon is the main port on the Caribbean coast and Cahuita is only one of the many incredible beaches close by.
