Oaxaca
Overview of Oaxaca
Oaxaca is famous for the indigenous civilisations of the Zapotecs and The Mixtecs and these cultures are still in existence today with the archaeological sites in its central valley. The coastal areas of Puerto Escondido, Zipolite and Mazunte, offer some pristine, untouched pacific beaches, where life is chilled and relaxed with excellent seafood of course.

What to Do in Oaxaca
Oxaca City
As we have already mentioned, Oaxaca has some incredible coastlines. However, this vibrant cultural, artistic city is the definition of spontaneity. A cycle tour around the city will display its array of spectacular street art. The coffee shops and snack bars are incredible for the foody (including bug specialities. I kid you not!) and the art workshops on the route are amazing! This is also home to the traditional drink of Mezcal!
Zipolite / Mazunte
Zipolite can be found on the pacific coast of Oaxaca and is a remote surf beach This hippy, Surfy, party town is a fun stop off heading south, with glorious seafood and sandy beaches are the perfect blend of sea, sun, fun and sand. If you are looking for a more chilled out vibe with perfect sunsets, head to Mazunte. This eco beach helps preserve the local aquatic life as well as the seas turtles native to the area.
