After an early morning pick-up we will head out to the Pacuare River. This area is formed by the Atlantic forests which protect the rich biodiversity on the Pacuare River banks. The reserve is the home of the indigenous Cabecar community, as well as abundant flora and fauna. The river's powerful waters and topography make this area a popular attraction providing the perfect place for adventure sports, surrounded by deep green forests, waterfalls, and natural pools. We can appreciate cascading waterfalls, lush rainforest, exotic plants, birds and other animals, and exciting rapids which will make an action-packed tropical adventure, full of unique, incredible experiences.

La Fortuna is close by to the Arenal National park making it the perfect play to stay to explore the Arenal Volcano. This magnificent conical volcano rises up from San Carlos Plains. The Tabacon experience will take us to the thermal springs that turn into natural pools and cascades in the middle of the forest. Tabacon features more than 20 natural pools and ponds, strategically located along the park's trails and provide a nice break from the exploration of plant species and the surprisingly regular sightings of local wildlife. Walking through all kinds of vegetation, you will have the opportunity to meet the local fauna. You will also reach a lookout point, incredibly close to the volcano and walk over ancient lava flows, petrified into stone. The guide will provide interesting information about the park, flora and fauna among the trees and of course about the Arenal Volcano. We can enjoy the therapeutic, soothing and relaxing properties, especially welcome after a day of hiking in the region.

Today we will head out into the Park for a visit to the volcano and Rio Celeste. Along the river, we’ll find hot springs as the bright blue river curves around tranquil bays, all surrounded by native flora and fauna. We will arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we will hike through the tropical rain forest. Our first stop in this impressive park full of rich ecological marvels will be the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall. There is a reason why this river is considered one of the most magnificent in the world!

Today we will leave Arenal and head to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Passing through the small agricultural town of Quepos a clifftop road leading to Manuel Antonio offers glimpses of spectacular forest and beach. This renowned site sits up in the hills overlooking the vibrant Pacific Ocean framed by green, luscious vegetation. The national park protects several habitats, including primary and secondary forest, mangroves, beach vegetation and marine resources. Making this a unique National Park.

After breakfast, we will explore this incredible National Park. Our guide will explain all about the park's biodiversity, protecting the area for over 40 years. This impressive park offers beautiful beaches and magnificent flora and fauna, which combine uniquely this magical place.

Free Day

Today we leave the tropical forest and head to the ocean. Experience one of Costa Rica’s most striking coastlines and National Park by open-seat ocean kayak. The adventure begins near the developing Pez Vela Marina in Quepos and winds along the Manuel Antonio coastline. Indulge yourself on the beach of Biezans Bay, for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks. Head to the best snorkelling spots as you experience three smalls but growing, active, and spectacular coral reefs nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Finally, end your adventure with a relaxing yet rewarding delicious lunch full of typical Costa Rican flavour near Manuel Antonio's beach.

After breakfast we will leave the pristine beauty of the Manuel Antonio National Park and head back to the capital of San Jose for our final evening in the magnificent Costa Rica.

We will collect you from the hotel to head to the San Jose airport, making sure you arrive in time for your international flight back home or on to your next exciting destination!
