Heading South through the stunning Central Pacific, the small agricultural town of Quepos will welcome us via a clifftop road that leads to The Manuel Antonio National Park. Along the way, we can see spectacular forests and beaches from the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest that leads down to the white sandy beaches of the park. These protect a number of habitats, including primary and secondary forest, mangroves, beach vegetation and marine resources.
Today we will explore this incredible National Park. Our expert guide will explain all about the park's biodiversity, preserved for over 40 years. This impressive park offers beautiful beaches and magnificent flora and fauna, which combine uniquely in this magical place.
Today we will head out on horseback to explore Costa Rica´s exotic flora and fauna. We will ride through the rainforest to the Tocori Private Ecological Reserve, just minutes away from Manuel Antonio Park. Don Gilberto and his family will show us the authentic Costa Rica and we will learn all about the history and nature of this beautiful country. Today we will leave the Manuel Antonio National Park, heading to the Corcovado via Sierpe. We will visit a stunning place of wild mountain forests spilling down onto pristine beaches, to experience incredible biodiversity and get totally off the beaten track. Today, we will spend the day exploring the Corcovado national park. The San Pedrillo Ranger Station, closest to Drake Bay, has a trail that will lead us through impressive primary forest, where we will be able to appreciate all the local flora and fauna. There is also a second shorter hike to a beautiful waterfall, where we will be able to swim in the refreshing, cool transparent water. We will then head back to the hotel in the evening.
After breakfast we will leave this magnificent National Park and head to the airport of Palmar Sur for our flight to the capital once more. On arrival, we will head to the hotel for our final evening.
Today is your final day. We will pick you up at your hotel, to take you to the San Jose airport for your flight back home or on to your next exciting destination!
