Today, you arrive in the city of La Paz. Your guide will be waiting at the airport for your arrival and you will be taken to your hotel to acclimatize and rest for the evening.
La Paz is an eclectic, mind-blowing city. Our full-day tour will take you on a cultural and historical journey around this colourful city, nestled in the mountains and where we can enjoy its fast-paced vibe and its constantly changing energy. Today we will head to the lakeside town of Copacabana on the shores of Titicaca. We will cross the Tiquina stretch at the narrowest part of the great lake. This divides the Greater and the Lesser Lakes which together form the ‘Magical Lake of Titicaca’. Bright and early, we will hike around the three communities of the Island; Throughout the day we will observe the Pilkokaina Palace, The Yumani Inca steps and the fountain of eternal youth. We will head over to the temple of the Moon for lunch and visit the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun to spend a night in luxury on this ancient and mystical Island.
Today we will return to Copacabana and then onward to the city of La Paz, once more, for a free afternoon and an evening in your luxury hotel.
Today we have an early flight from La Paz to Uyuni. On arrival, at 11 am approx. We will set out for the salt flats and pass through a small settlement called Colchani where the locals process salt to this day. We will then head to our luxury hotel in the town of Uyuni.
After breakfast, we will then continue on to the middle of the Salt Flats to see the lagoons, "eyes" of the salt flats, salt mountains and salt blocks. This unique route takes us into one of the world's most isolated areas with a glittering, white landscape for After a couple of hours driving arrive at Isla del Pescado or Incahuasi Island to look at giant cacti, birds and vizcachas that have made this island their own. Bright and early, we will drive from Uyuni to the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, leaving the salt flats behind us and heading to the region's deserts and lakes. We will pass through the majestic highland area, to look out at spectacular mountains and whimsical landscapes.
