The Chonos route cruise covers 800 miles passing through channels and fjords, where nature is still safe from human contact. We will pass by the San Rafael glacier, in the northern ice field. This great mass of ice is located in the Chilean Patagonia, in Southern Chile. It has an approximate area of 4,400 km with a length of 100 km from North to South and approximately, 40 km in diameter, East to West.   Its ice is distributed around 7 major glaciers. This vast expanse of ice is the birthplace of the glacier closest to the equatorial line. The San Rafael glacier, which runs from Monte San Valentin, deposits its spectacular ice in the quiet waters of the lagoons of San Rafael. Revisit Darwin territory through icefields and glaciers for the ultimate Patagonian experience!

Cultural norms vary within each Latin American country, even within each city within the country, however, we recommend the following measures to have a pleasant visit in each destination: Latin American culture in general tends to be closer and more informal than in others cultures, so there is usually always a friendly approach in all conversations, and going directly to the point could be considered offensive to some people. Personal space can be much shorter as well, but without being interpreted as sexual in nature.
