Whether you prefer the beaches, the deep jungle or the big cities, nature is wild and wonderful in this country. We have developed this itinerary to try and cover as much of the country as we can, so that you can experience the vastness of its incredible wildlife and its full range of biodiversity and  in the different geographical regions. Whether you want the experience of the impressive waterfalls of Iguazu, The vibrant beach City of Rio, the deep dark jungle of the Pantanal, The amazon rainforest, or some time in the countryside on a ranch, we can guarantee that you will Experience Brazil to the maximum!

DAY BY DAY SCHEDULE

Today is arrival day to Foz do Iguazu to start your adventure! Our driver will be waiting at Foz airport to collect you and take you to your hotel. You will have a free afternoon and evening to settle in and be prepared for the next few days’ activities!

    After breakfast, we will visit the Brazilian side of the Falls and head into the Foz do Iguazu National Park, on the Brazilian side of the border. This park surrounds the Iguazu waterfalls on this side of the border, with incredible panoramic viewing points and even a special elevator, specially constructed for viewing purposes. We will then head over the border to the Argentinian side of these magnificent waterfalls Including the train to the biggest fall, The Devil´s throat.

      After breakfast, we will head to the airport for our flight to the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. Your guide will be waiting at the airport to take you to the hotel for the evening. 

        Today we will head out to the Corcovado better known as Christ the Redeemer with our Jeep tour, after which we will head to the largest urban forest in the world, The Tijuca National Park. This park is the home of many plants and wildlife that were at risk of extinction.

          After breakfast, we will visit the famous UNESCO world heritage site of  Sugarloaf mountain for spectacular views over Rio We will then head off to the Botanical Gardens with over 6500 different plant species  and 140 different species of birds!

            Today, we will pick you up from the hotel to head to the Rio airport for our flight to Manaus, in the Amazon jungle. We will head to the hotel and settle in for the evening.

              After breakfast, we will head to The Meeting of the Waters, where the Rio Negro and The Solimoes River run parallel for over 6 km before they meet at the beginning of what is known as the Amazon river. We will then head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

                Today we will head out on a morning nature Hike to experience flora and fauna of the Amazon River. After lunch, we will then head out on a fishing tour to the Caboclo house to see if we can catch a piranha or 2 !

                  Today after breakfast, we will leave the Amazon for Belém. Our driver will take us to the airport for a flight to the city of Belém where we will spend the evening.

                    Today, we will have an early morning transfer to the Belem pier, to take the boat to Marajó On arrival, we will be collected from the airport to head to our lodge for the evening. We can take advantage of a number of activities on the eco ranch.

                      Today, we have a free day to experience the many activities to the full at this eco-resort. We will have dinner and spend the night at the ranch.

                        Today we leave the Island and head back to Belém. We will have a free afternoon to explore the city. 

                          After breakfast, we will head to the airport of Belem for our flight to Cuiaba airport and transfer to your pousada. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious piranha soup is served as an appetizer before dinner and overnight stay at the pousada. 

                            Today after breakfast, we will head out on horseback to ride through the jungle of the Pantanal. After lunch, we will take a boat ride through the Pantanal to do some wildlife spotting after which we will return to the pousada for dinner. We will then head out in a jeep for some nocturnal animal spotting.

                              We will enjoy an ecological walk through the jungle. After lunch, we will take a boat trip down the river and along the riverbanks to go caiman feeding and as it gets dark, we will once more head out for some nocturnal animal spotting.

                                Today, we will wake up early to enjoy a canoe trip to see the spectacular sunrise. We will enjoy our final breakfast before our transport to the Cuiaba airport for our flight to Sao Paulo. Our driver will be waiting at the airport to take us to our hotel.

                                  After breakfast, we will visit the beautiful parks of Sao Paulo. We will then have an airport drop off in time for your International flight back home, or on to your next exciting destination!

                                    Trip Preparation & FAQS

                                    The official language of Brazil is Portuguese, with a variety of different dialects that can be heard throughout the country. Portuguese is the main language spoken in more rural areas.    

                                    Some English is spoken in more touristy areas but is not widely spoken by residents, especially outside major cities.   

                                    The currency used throughout is the Brazilian real. US dollars are accepted in most places. 

                                    Credit cards are accepted in well established businesses although smaller shops may only accept cash. ATMs are common in larger cities, with smaller towns maybe only having one or two.  

                                    Best times to travel to Brazil varies depending on what you wish to see and do. However, the most popular time to visit is between August and October when spring arrives

                                    Forms of local transportation include buses, taxis, and the metro which can be found in Rio and Sao Paulo. Flights can be easily taken between major cities as there are a variety of airports throughout the country . 

                                    Brazil is a family friendly country that offers activities and attractions that all ages can enjoy. It is full of family-friendly hotels and plenty of interactive activities geared for children. Brazil also offers an abundance of beaches and wildlife viewing opportunities for families to enjoy together.  

                                    Brazil is considered the most LGBTQ friendly destination in South America. Rio de Janeiro being one of the best destinations in the world for LGBTQ travelers and families to visit with lots of activities in the day and plenty of LGBTQ pubs, clubs and nightlife to enjoy. They also have the Sao Paulo LGBT pride parade, one of the largest LGBT events in the world. Although Brazil is generally a very laid-back country when it comes to sexuality, in some regions and smaller towns discrimination towards the LGBTQ community is still present.   

                                    In Brazil the common voltage is 127/220 V. The frequency is 60 Hz. The plugs and sockets are type N. 

                                    It is customary to leave a 10% tip in Brazil and it is much appreciated by hotel and restaurant staff. This 10% is sometimes included on your bill (bars, restaurants, and tourist spots) so be sure to check. Leaving extra tip is always at your own discretion but will always be appreciated. 

                                    Brazilians know how to throw a party and are known for their love of music, dance and festivals, the most famous of all being Carnival. Rio Carnival is the largest carnival in the world, held every year in February, with 5 days of outrageous floats, Samba dancers, colorful costumes and high energy music. Brazil also has plenty more festivals throughout the year such as Salvador Bahia Festival (February), Festival Junina in June, Parintins Folklore festival in the amazonas (end of June).
