Chiloe Island is famous for its history, folklore, legend and handicrafts. This stunning island is covered by rolling hills and an evergreen forest and boasts an incredible variety of birdlife. With over 150 wooden churches, and picturesque timber houses perched, over the water on stilts, it is possible to stay overnight on the island. In recent years, several charming boutique properties have opened on the island. The penguin colony and stopping to try some of Chiloé’s world-famous oysters are only a few of the highlights on this remote island!
