There are plenty of reasons to travel to Argentina. It's no wonder why Argentina attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with iconic monuments, historic landmarks, lovely parks, eclectic art, and delicious steak dishes. It’s a European-looking city with a famous Latin vibe.

Immense boulevards, fantastic shopping opportunities, state-of-the-art buildings next to examples of colonial architecture, gorgeous cafés, and cobbled streets make Buenos Aires one of the best places to go in Argentina. Plaza de Mayo deserves special attention. The Cathedral of Buenos Aires, the iconic Casa Rosada or House of Government, and the Cabildo can be found there. It’s the political heart of the city, together with the Congress that is only a few blocks away.

Puerto Madero is probably the trendiest neighborhood in Buenos Aires and a magnet for tourists. It just looks onto the Río de la Plata and hosts luxury apartment buildings and trendy restaurants. It’s the place to see and be seen and home to the famous Calatrava’s Puente de la Mujer, a work of art. San Telmo, with its cobbled streets and colonial buildings, is where the rich used to live until the late 1870s when an epidemic of yellow fever hit the neighborhood. Many bohemians and artists live here and the San Telmo Market is a cozy place where to grab something to eat and run errands. There’s an interesting antique fair as well in Plaza Dorrego. La Boca is where you have to go if you want to experience the real football passion: La Bombonera, Boca Junior’s football stadium, can be found there. The vibrant and colorful houses of Caminito, the Paseo de la Ribera, the Benito Quinquela Martín’s Museum, and the Proa Museum are other interesting highlights.

Santa Cruz Cruise

Los Glaciares National Park is home to some of the largest glaciers in the world. On this 3-day luxury cruise, you will get up close to these magnificent icebergs and glaciers when you cruise the icy waters of Lago Argentino. The Santa Cruz is a luxury boat, that provides an alternative way to explore the icy waters and tumbling glaciers of Southern Patagonia. Designed to offer a "unique glacier cruising experience", the Santa Cruz cruise ship transports passengers between the region's biggest and most spectacular glaciers, disembarking for short walks and with spacious lounges and decks from which to soak up the magnificent Andean scenery. Witness the Spegazzini, Upsala, and Perito Moreno glaciers. The latter is a glacial cap, that covers this protected area of 600,000 hectares. Among the 356 glaciers, the Perito Moreno is the most outstanding, having a front of 5 km long and a height of over 60 meters above the water level.

Nahuel Huapi

The oldest and second-largest national park in Argentina, Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi with its shimmering lakes, red-barked Myrtle groves, and mountains dotted with trekkers hunching under the weight of their packs. Located near the city of Bariloche in Argentina's Lake District, Nahuel Huapi was formed in 1934 The park’s name comes from Mapudungun, the language of the indigenous Mapuche people, in which “Nahuel” means “puma” and “Huapi” means “island.” Mapuche communities still live in the park, as do pumas and other endemic wildlife, including a legendary creature that lives in the depths of this magnificent lake. With more than 60 lakes and lagoons in the park, you'll have your pick of spots to swim, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, canoe, and sail. Lakes also feature as the main attraction on the park's famous road trip route: La Ruta de Siete Lagos, which links scenic viewpoints of seven lakes from Bariloche to San Martin de Los Andes. Go flyfishing in the park's rivers to catch brown and rainbow trout, or mountain bike on one of its mountain paths. Biking different circuits throughout the park allows you to see some of the area’s most famous natural wonders and historical settlements, and if you like rock climbing, you'll love the many accessible routes in the area.
