In Argentina, estancias are an integral part of the Argentine and gaucho culture, which is good news for horse lovers! Dating back to colonial times, many of these magnificent estancias resemble more like European estates and land as far as the eye can see. To have the full gaucho experience, sit around a campfire or asado in the evening after a day on horseback and learn more about the gauchos their tradition and their history on these impressive estates throughout Argentina.

Los Patos is one of the most exclusive “estancias” in the area, dedicated to the production of Aberdeen Angus beef, polo horses and a variety of agricultural activities. The main building of The Estancia Los Patos was built by Angel Estrada in 1969. Los Patos offers many traditional countryside activities of Argentina such as “taba”, croquet, “sapo”, bowls and card games. Dine on home-made empanadas, wine, cocktails and soft drinks, followed by a delicious Creole- style barbecue, served with a variety of salads and local desserts. accompanied by Argentine folk melodies, offered by Angel Estrada.

The estate previously raised sheep, but today they concentrate more on Hereford cattle.
