Trip Overview
Are you looking to hike an Off the Beaten track Inca trail? Then this is a more remote option to hike an original Inca trail! Hike through the famous Palca canyon, crossing some of the most stunning mountains in The Andes. From the higher mountainous regions, descending to the humid and subtropical jungle areas of the Yungas. This trek passes through several biological regions and each different region is blessed with a change of elevation and remote indigenous mountain villages. This trek is called "Camino del Inca" and is one of the Andes' most popular treks. The pre-Inca, Tiwanaku culture used the trail, the Incas themselves and the Spanish, spanning many historical periods. The trail forms an important route through the Cordillera Real of the Andes, connecting the remote highlands to the semi-tropical jungle region of "Las Yungas".
