On the Argentine side is the Iguazu National Park in the Misiones Province. On the Brazilian side is Foz do Iguaçu, which forms part of The Iguazu River, crisscrossing through the two countries.

The Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia is not to be missed. One of the world’s only glaciers growing rather than reducing can be found on the Argentinian side of Patagonia and is so large that you can trek on it!  The glacier movementglacier causes sheets of ice to peel off and crash into the sea for a thrilling experience. Horse ride Through the Andes

The journey through The Andes from Argentina to Chile is considered one of the most spectacular in the world. You’ll be taking in incredible mountain vistas and experiencing life on horseback, following in the gauchos’ footsteps of Argentina’s past. In this world of gaucho culture, Asados and red wine is the perfect way to ease those muscles after a long ride in the saddle, but the glorious cowboy territory with spectacular views makes up for it.

Red, Red Wine

There are a couple of ways to sample the impressive wines of Argentina. The first is on a visit to the Mendoza wine region, which attracts tourists to its many wineries that produce the best Malbec and some of the best bodegas in the country. Another option is to head North to Salta, and Cafayate, the nation’s other wine valley, which will take you to a completely different climate and terrain.

Climb a Mountain

Mont Fitz Roy is one of Argentina’s most iconic and magnificent Andean peaks. El Chaltén attracts hikers from all over the world for its views, the unique beauty of the summit and the glorious pristine beauty of Patagonia itself. Located near the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the mountain sits on the border between Argentina and Chile. Many visitors to Fitz Roy visit for the multi-day treks and stay in cabins along the way. Learn Tango

Tango is, quite simply, the heartbeat of Argentina. You don’t need to speak or understand Spanish to reach the soul of this nation, listen to tango music, admire the expert dancers or even better, take a class yourself. Tango originates from the lower classes in Argentina and Uruguay, dating back to the 19th century.  Alongside the intimate dance form came tango songs, characterized by their heart-rending melodies and nostalgic, often romantic lyrics. Many Argentines know classic tango songs by heart and will sing along to tunes played in bars or cafes frequented by the tango musicians of Buenos Aires.  If you want to see a tango dance performance, go to a milonga to see an authentic tango show. Alternatively, ask your Argentine hotel or friends about different ways to experience tango music. It won’t be hard to find tango in Argentina and once you do, expect a complete immersion experience into Argentinian culture.
