Argentina Family Adventure

Today, we have a full day to explore Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires’ neighbourhoods and their distinctive characters and vibe.  From the historic barrios of San Telmo and La Boca to the impressive parks and plazas of Palermo and Recoleta, and the contrasting modern skyscrapers of Puerto Madero. Taste your way through Buenos Aires - from Argentinian pizza, Choripan, Empanadas and dulce de Leche with alfajores, for those with a sweeter tooth. 

Today, we will head to the domestic airport for a flight to Trelew. From here, your driver who will wait for you at the airport will then take you to Puerto Madryn.  

 Puerto Madryn is an Argentine city on the coast of northern Patagonia. Its remote sandy beaches and restaurant-lined promenade face the bay of Golfo Nuevo, where The Southern Right whales, native to the Southern hemisphere, breed from May to December.  These whales are measure a spectacular 13-16 metres long and one of the largest species of whale on the planet.

Today we will visit the Peninsula Valdes declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site because of its flora, fauna and geography. Between the months of June and December, we have the option to head out whale-watching, which is one of the most unique activities in the area. If we are lucky, we will be able to spot the Orcas amongst the ever-present sea lion colonies.

Today we will visit the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve, found two and a half hours from Puerto Madryn.  This nature reserve is the spot to see the famous Magellan Penguins, who visit the area from September to March when they come to the area to nest. 

We will collect you from your hotel bright and early to head to the Trelew Airport. For your flight to Posadas City. Here your driver will collect you and take you to the next destination of Puerto Valle, where we can find the Iberá Wetland ecoregion. The Iberá National Park is located in the northeast of Corrientes Province, in the Littoral region of Argentina, and covers over 1.3 hectares in the Iberá Wetlands ecoregion. 

The Iberá Wetlands consists of streams, marshes, lakes and swamps that occupy approximately 14% of the territory of the province and is the natural habitat to a wide variety of bird species.

Puerto Valle is located at the northeast of the National Park. This incredible site is blessed with private access to Laguna Valle and direct entry to Cambyretá Portal. This is where the red macaw was re-introduced to its natural habitat.

Today and tomorrow, you may choose the activities best suited to your family. Activities at the Lodge including, kayak, Photo Safari, Horse-riding, Laguna Valle expedition and the Parana Riverboat ride, amongst others!

Today, we leave Puerto Valle and head to Puerto Iguazu. This is approximately a 6 hr journey.  

Full day visit to the Argentinian side of the Falls. The Iguazu Falls have been declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site and are one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.   

We will visit some of the 207 falls, including the biggest fall, The Devil´s throat.  

Iguazú Falls or Iguaçu Falls as they are called in Brazil, are natural waterfalls found on the Iguazu River. The falls are found on the border of 3 countries, Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. In Argentina, they are found in the province of Misiones and on the Brazilian side, in the state of Paraná. Together, they make up the largest waterfall in the world. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. 

Today we will briefly cross the border into Brazil to see the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu falls, which offer a totally different experience of these impressive waterfalls. In the afternoon,
