Today is arrival day to Belize City! We will collect you from the Belize International Airport and take you to your hotel in the San Ignacio area.

Bright and early, we will head to the Mountain Pine Ridge Area. We will visit the Rio pools and cascades where you can enjoy the cool pools or the natural Jacuzzi. We can also enjoy a natural water slide or have a hydro-massage underneath a cascading waterfall. 

Our next stop is the archaeological site of Caracol, found on the western side of the Maya Mountains, inside the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. This is considered one of the most important archaeological site in Belize, found in the canopy rainforest, and contains five plazas, an astronomic observatory, causeways, amongst other important constructions. The massive pyramid of Caana, remains one of the biggest man-made structures in Belize. We also have the possibility of a wildlife encounter in the tropical faunas we explore this incredible archaeological site.

After breakfast, we will head out on a canoe trip to a remote cave formerly used by the ancient Mayans for ceremonies and as a burial site. We will paddle our canoes along an ancient Mayan waterway inside the depths of the mountain and we will observe skulls and artefacts as you pass among the impressive stalactites. In the afternoon, we will visit Cahal Pech Archaeological Site, set within the shade trees offering respite from the heat of the day. This is one of the oldest Mayan ruins on the planet and where vivid contrast between the citadel and the jungle, make this a unique experience as we enter a place where life remains in its natural state and ancient monuments represent the silent testimony of an incredible civilization.

Today, we will visit the Xunantunich Archaeological Site of the Mayans, the largest ceremonial centre in the Belize River Valley. Constructed on a natural limestone ridge, we can appreciate spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. This is one of the most important archaeological sites in Belize, with three ceremonial plazas enclosed by pyramids, palaces and small houses. Its name in ancient Mayan means “The stone woman”. After the visit to this incredible site, we will head to the Hopkins area, where we will spend the evening.

 After breakfast, we will head out to Bocawina National Park for a hike through the rainforest. Our guide will tell us all about the secrets of this mystical and magical jungle as we walk along the winding trail under the rainforest canopy to the base of the Bocawina Falls to marvel at its natural beauty. Here, we can enjoy a refreshing swim and relax in the pools below the waterfall. After lunch, we will fly through the rainforest tree canopies like Tarzan on a zipline adventure for a totally different perspective of the jungle. After the tour, we will head to Belize City, where we will spend the evening.

Today, we will visit the Lamanai archaeological site, which is one of Belize’s largest Mayan ceremonial centres. Lamanai means “submerged crocodile” in the Mayan language, and we can appreciate many examples of crocodiles throughout this site. We can see the monumental architecture of temples and palaces dating from the classic and pre-classic Mayan periods.   We will then return to Belize City water taxi station to head to the San Pedro Ambergris Caye. Upon arrival, we will walk to the hotel or take an optional golf cart for an extra cost.

The Blue Hole snorkelling trip is usually an early start with a complimentary pick up at most of the island's docks. We will head out on a boat trip for approximately 2 hours to reach the Blue Hole for our first dive. This otherworldly experience will take us into the world of deep-sea species and remarkable sea-life and corals only found in this part of the world. We will also enjoy 2 more dives at the Half Moon Caye Wall and the aquarium before returning back to the caye.

Today is a free day to enjoy the beaches and the numerous water sports or simply relax and take in the relaxed atmosphere. 

Day 09 -Belize City - Home

Today, we will head back to the water boat station for the Ferry to Belize City. On arrival, we will take you to the airport for your flight back home or on to your next exciting destination.

Excellent experience

We have spent 10 days in Peru on a school trip and Valencia Travel was the local partner. We were very pleased with the itinerary and the support from our guides and drivers. We spent several days in Cusco, then went to a local Cacao Farm and after of course Aguas Calientes. Everyone in the group had a great time and our guide Ronaldo tried his best to ensure all needs were met.

Best travel guide and company for our family trip to Machu Picchu

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) did the short Inka trail to Machu Picchu and our guide Carlos Caceres was the best! He made our trip to Machu Picchu very special and memorable. He was very experienced, kind, patient and always made sure we were taken care of. The trip went so smoothly because of Carlos. From making sure we got on trains to buses to trail crossings to restaurants in town, he was always on top of it. Highly recommend Valencia Travel Cusco and Carlos as your guide. We were grateful for everything.

Absolutely fantastic,great value for cost,wonderful sites, amazing guide,Carlos Carceras.Every aspect was 10/10.The guide was one of the best i have ever experienced,his knowledge was astounding,his organizational skills amazing and even more his care and respect gor the group was way beyond expectations. Amazing experience, lifetime of memories!

The trip was incredible! The views were spectacular, the history is amazing and we could not have asked for more. The trail was challenging, but it was worth it. Our guide Miguel made sure everything went smoothly and he made the difficult journey a joy for me and my family! Highly recommend for any family looking for an adventure!
