On arrival to Santiago airport from your international flight, make your way to the domestic counters to connect with your flight to Calama. On arrival, you will be met by the guide and taken to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. This is the driest desert in the world blessed with spectacular horizons and incredible sunsets. This oasis town lies on the edge of the enormous Atacama Salt Lake.
Enjoy three full days exploring this incredible part of the world. The Moon Valley, with its lunar-like appearance, an incredible place to see spectacular sunsets; The Tatio Geysers on the highest geothermal field in the world; and The stunning Salt Flats spreading for miles.

After breakfast, we will head back to the Calama airport for our flight to Santiago.
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the colourful fishing town of Valparaiso.
Today we will head out on a morning city tour of Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage site, perched on the edge of a steep hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This is an enchanting town, with a striking contrast between the colourful houses lining the hillside and the Victorian mansions down by the port area.
You will have a free afternoon to wander the narrow streets and absorb the atmosphere of this quaint town.
After breakfast, we will be taken to Santa Cruz in the central wine-growing region of the Colchagua Valley, where we will spend the next few days.
The valley is renowned for its perfect wine producing soil and produces some of Chile’s finest grapes. You will enjoy a tour through the valley and along the way, you will visit a number of vineyards for wine tasting and lunch.
Morning transfer to Santiago airport for your connecting flight to Easter Island. As we fly the 5000 km over the Pacific Ocean, you will begin to appreciate the remoteness of Rapa Nui. It’s amazing that anyone discovered this insignificant, remote piece of land!
On arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel, where you will have a free afternoon to explore the Island.
You will have the next 2 days touring the Island to visit the giant Moai figureheads. These mysterious moai statues of Easter Island are the instantly recognizable emblem of the island, offering a fascinating glimpse into the ancient and unique civilization of the Pacific Islanders. Other archaeological sites are equally fascinating and the coral reefs make Easter Island an ideal place for diving and snorkelling.

Cultural norms vary within each Latin American country, even within each city within the country, however, we recommend the following measures to have a pleasant visit in each destination: Latin American culture in general tends to be closer and more informal than in others cultures, so there is usually always a friendly approach in all conversations, and going directly to the point could be considered offensive to some people. Personal space can be much shorter as well, but without being interpreted as sexual in nature.
The schedules are also usually more relaxed and informal, however, this is not the case of VA EXPEDITIONS, since we will always respect the hours indicated in your itinerary. This may be different for other appointments that you can book on your own at other locations.
