Paragliding in La Cumbre

Rafting

There are so many interesting options that are available for those that want to enjoy some rafting when in Argentina. White-water rafting destinations are numerous and Mendoza is probably the pick of the rafting options. A summer visit offers Class IV and V rafting rapids, which are truly wonderful, with the Andes constantly in view, makes this an excellent option for rafting trips.  Rio Manso to the south of Bariloche also boasts excellent rafting and the inferior section is perfect for a family outing, with paddling and bird watching. The Frontera section allows you to have a truly adrenalin- filled experience as you head towards the Chilean border.

Skiing

The two main areas for skiing are Las Leñas and Cerro Catedral. Las Leñas is one of the main ski destinations in South America, offering a number of slopes for all ski levels. There are 60 km of excellent snow runs and few crowds for excellent ski opportunities.  Cerro Catedral is really well-developed and the resort is super-popular in Argentina. With the Andes dominating views, you can be sure that you will have the perfect skiing experience.

Hiking Laguna Torre

Argentina has the geographical diversity that is necessary for hiking enthusiasts and there are various spots you will want to consider. Laguna Torre is great as a day hike option. You may want to climb the Cerro Torre, which is a wonderful challenge for rock climbers and mountaineers. The two that are a must-visit are the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden. There are also museums within the parks for a rainy-day escape.
